Your November 2023 horoscope is all about rebuilding what got knocked down, course-correcting plans that are no longer viable, and fixing ourselves in the mirror after the disheveling impact of last month’s eclipses. Although you might encounter some adversity along the way, it’s time to draft up new marching orders this month—and, for a large part, you can expect to feel up to the task.

On the 8th, Venus enters Libra. Last month’s eclipses tested relationships and agreements, but with the dust settling in November, it’s time to move forward with some semblance of balance restored. Plus, having Venus in a position of strength bodes well for any cultural excursions that are planned for November. Venus in Libra delights in social mixers, gallery nights, screenings, performances, and fashion shows, as well as beautiful settings in general. Even if you don’t leave your hometown this month, prioritize good ambiance.

There is just one caveat—Venus is approaching a conjunction to the South Node on the 29th, which does suck some fun out of the party, and that might mean more compromises are required before you reach the promised land. But you will feel more empowered overall in November, which will probably lessen the sting.

The Mars cazimi (conjunction with the Sun) on the 18th is a big reset for desire in general, and the manner in which we pursue our goals. Mid-month is all about getting crystal clear on the particular bullseye you’re targeting, and knowing exactly how you intend to get there. That two-month backpacking trip you’ve been dreaming about doesn’t have to be a distant fantasy—just map out all the steps required to make it happen.

After the 10th, Mercury will also be darting through Sagittarius, which might make you feel more directionally challenged through the second part of the month. In particular, November 10th and 27th could be stressful days for travelers, and the potential for trip cancellations (or just blundering through a part of town you’re not familiar with) could be high. If you’re in the US, buckle up for a chaotic return from your Thanksgiving travels. As always, give yourself more buffer time if you’re going anywhere around these dates.

Aries Rising

You’re having a bit of a rebirth this month, but it’s mostly arising out of the freedom you’ll feel after you settle up some debts. As your ruling planet, Mars, approaches a cazimi on the 18th, you might find yourself paying off some outstanding balances and/or getting your stuff back from your ex’s house—literally or metaphorically speaking. Any loose ends, and any sense of owing or being owed, are tethers to the past that you can snip now.

Pretty soon, though, Mars enters Sagittarius on the 24th, and you’ll be eager to hit the skies again, or put some flights on your newly paid-off credit cards. You’ll have to hold your horses, though, at least right out of the gate. Mars immediately runs into a square with Saturn on the 25th, which amounts to a bit of a brake slam. The wider world will be your oyster soon enough, but first, you may have to contend with a “no” from the universe.

If you’re on the road at the end of November, that “no” could take the form of some particularly chaotic travel days. The aforementioned brake slam will be amplified by the Gemini full moon on the 27th, which also features a messy Mercury/Neptune square. You might be among those more likely to be impacted by delays and cancellations, because these aspects light up the part of your chart associated with travel. Consider leaving a couple days earlier or later if you can, or at least, give yourself ample time to get to the airport.

Taurus Rising

October was especially rough on Venus’ children, but thankfully, you’ll be feeling a bit more like yourself after Venus enters Libra on November 8th. The rest of the month will provide plenty of opportunity to restore equilibrium to your frazzled nerves and settle back into healthy rhythms for your body. There can be a lot of pleasure in maintaining a simple (but dependable) self-care regimen, and this becomes especially true when life is throwing you curveballs (or when you’re traveling, which is a big routine-disruptor).

At some point, though, something may still need to give. As Venus gets closer to a South Node conjunction on the 29th, you’ll start to feel drained again. Make sure you’re giving your body what it needs to fully recover from any ailments that came up in October, and to buffer your immune system. This might also just be a moment of adjusting to new realities, and realizing you’ll need to relinquish some amount of your previously established equilibrium if it’s no longer possible to maintain. True balance is found in perpetual motion, or in the average of your efforts at any given time.

Get ready for a powerful reset for your relationships around the 18th, too. As Mars initiates a new cycle in your 7th house of partnerships, the sacrifices and uncertainties of the last two years might start to make more sense, or at least cohere into a clear sense of what you want going forward. No, a hiking partner who shares your enthusiasm for fine dining is not an impossible ask.

Gemini Rising

November is an exercise in letting yourself become lost, or at least rerouted with no clear-cut sense of where you’re going next.

Early in the month, your ruling planet, Mercury, opposes Uranus on the 4th. You thought things were going one way, and it turns out they’re going a different direction that you couldn’t have possibly foreseen. The aftershocks of eclipse season can be very ungrounding, and you’ll probably need to remain light on your feet as you adapt to developing circumstances. Early November will also be a time when you may not be able to depend on the predictability of your usual schedule or routine. Work might call you in at unexpected hours, or you might not be able to get to the gym as you usually do. Try to reach for alternative ways to stay grounded.

On the 10th, Mercury enters Sagittarius and immediately runs into a square with Saturn. This might feel like hitting a dead end the minute you decide to veer off the highway and take the scenic route. Maybe it wasn’t even your idea to do so! In trying to accommodate another person’s wishes, you might feel as though you’ve gotten hopelessly derailed, but don’t let that discourage you from seeking alternative paths.

The full moon in Gemini on the 27th brings some of these underlying relationship tensions to a head, and you might feel simultaneously lost and stuck in place. It’s important to voice your truth at this impasse. Following your internal compass will get you out of this bind soon enough.

Cancer Rising

Since March of this year, Saturn has been trudging through Pisces, your 9th house of education and long-distance travel. Though the lessons of Saturn will take time, and some persistence, to fully land (like a PhD that you labor over for a couple of years), November is a turning point in this process—a bit like your first set of exams.

When Saturn stations direct on the 4th, it might be time to test your new knowledge in some way, or commit anew to the hard work of understanding the world in its vastness and complexity. That could mean planning a literal pilgrimage somewhere, or perhaps an extended stay that will let you really get to know the place.

Besides, with Venus entering Libra on the 8th, it’s likely that you’re going to spend most of November enjoying your home, wherever it happens to be for the time being. You might also be reconnecting (or even reconciling) with family. If the pilgrimage is to an ancestral land, then you’ve accomplished both of these in one go. Just be prepared for some of this process to be fraught, especially toward the end of the month. You might have to sacrifice one version of what you thought family would look like in order to accept the version that’s right in front of you.

Leo Rising

November might be a month of uprooting for you, and that can be figurative or very literal. Some tremors early in November are building up to some more decisive new beginnings and resets mid-month, which could see you leaving home, cutting ties with your past, or simply becoming more focused and intentional about protecting your safe space and engaging with your ancestry.

On the 13th, the new moon in Scorpio introduces an element of unpredictability and instability into your housing situation, relationship to your family, or orientation to events that might be unfolding in your homeland (current or familial). With the knowledge that the tectonic plates might be shifting beneath you, how can you take measures to root more deeply into foundations that feel secure, and that offer you a sense of protection? When Mars conjoins the Sun in Scorpio on the 18th, you’ll be able to narrow down your intention to a clear and concise goal, or make a clean cut, if that’s what you’re seeking.

The Sun enters Sagittarius on the 22nd, and you’ll start to feel a bit lighter, but you might not be ready to come out to play until after the Sun’s square to Saturn on the 23rd. Sagittarius Season is for remembering your joie de vivre, but there’s an initial hurdle to clear first. Perhaps that hurdle is grief. Sadness and celebration don’t have to cancel each other out—they can each make the other more meaningful.

Virgo Rising

This month, allow yourself to be surprised by a part of town you thought you knew like the back of your hand. Revisit your favorite day trip destinations, but experience them in ways that are radically new to you.

You might choose to flip the script, or maybe the script will be flipped for you, in the first few days of the month, as Mercury gears up to oppose Uranus on November 4th. This could be a chaotic day for your usual commute, but also an opportunity to be pleasantly rerouted, if you can roll with the disruptions. You might be led down a rabbit hole that brings you to the start of something new, particularly when it comes to your current neighborhood, city, or region. Around the Scorpio new moon on the 13th, a plot twist you didn’t see coming sets you on a new path—maybe literally, if you wind up taking a different route to work from here on out.

On November 10th, Mercury enters Sagittarius, your 4th house of home, for a couple weeks of long-winded dinner table discussions. However, Mercury’s square to Saturn, also on the 10th, means you’ll have to start with a conversational stalemate, or an obstacle you’ll need to find ways to talk through (or around). Trust the process, and know that you’ll get to the point eventually. You might need to weave through a few digressions first, but this is an opportunity to make meaningful headway with your closest kin.

Libra Rising

October was a pretty rough month for you, and if you’re feeling a little battered and bruised (or just exceptionally tired), some of the color returns to your cheeks when Venus makes her homecoming to Libra on November 8th. For the next four weeks, you’ll be more empowered to be a force of love in the world, to work your charm, and persuade others to get on board with your plans. Don’t call it a comeback, though—at least not without strings attached. As Venus gets closer to a South Node conjunction on the 29th, you might have to take one for the team, but it’s a decision you’ll probably come around to making on your own terms.

The end of November is generally going to be a messy time for travel, too, so bear that in mind if you’ve got plans to visit your family or head overseas before the busy (and expensive) holiday season ramps up. On the 25th, Mars squares Saturn, and the full moon in Gemini on the 27th only amplifies this gridlock (not to mention the Mercury square to Neptune on the same day, which adds chaos and confusion to the mix). You, especially, might experience this in the form of a trip cancellation or delay, or maybe exceptionally bad traffic if you’re driving somewhere. Consider leaving a couple days earlier or later if you can, or budgeting extra time for travel if you can’t.

Ultimately, the full moon on the 27th might present you with some sort of result to a possibility you’ve been entertaining around doing more extensive travel in the near future. Know that this conclusion might generate more questions than it provides answers, but all may not yet be as it seems.

Scorpio Rising

You’ve been feeling a bit more like yourself lately, more sure of what you want, and ready to punch up. This month is a bit of a training montage, and the focus is how you are getting stronger in the face of adversity. November will test your commitment to your goals and to keeping your eye on the prize, even in the face of curve balls.

Mid-month is when most of the action occurs. On November 11th, Mars opposes Uranus, which might find you sparring with an unpredictable opponent or attempting to remain steadfast in the pursuit of your objective. You might be dead set on hiking Everest this year, but your travel partner is hedging and suddenly unable to commit. Tempers can also be easily triggered around this day, so try to keep calm, and don’t take the bait.

The Scorpio new moon on the 13th reemphasizes these dynamics and offers you a chance to set some intentions for the next few months, knowing full well that you might not be able to count on others to show up.

On the 18th, a potent Mars cazimi in Scorpio finds you reborn and ready to take on the world. This is a big glow up for you after the last two years, which may have tested your resolve and made you feel less in control of your own destiny. This is the initiation of a new two-year cycle that centers your agency to achieve what you want.

Sagittarius Rising

November finds you arriving back to yourself, but through a series of checkpoints first. This year’s transition into Sagittarius Season comes with a string of Saturn squares, which seem to say, “Not so fast.” There’s a sense this month that you must hold your horses at the first whiff of exciting new possibilities and make sure you’ve tended to your obligations at home first.

On November 10th, Mercury enters Sagittarius and immediately squares Saturn on the same day. Mercury might be a messenger of things to come, as this is the first event that signals the arrival of obstacles to face later in the month. You might be tasked with having to explain yourself to someone who won’t listen, or having to find your way around an obstacle related to your family or living situation. Know that the path won’t be linear, but you’ll soon be free to seek solutions.

The Sun enters Sagittarius on the 22nd, and Mars follows suit on the 24th. Both the Sun and Mars must also contend with Saturn before plotting their next big escape, so expect the gridlock to peak around the 25th. This might bring you into the implementation phase of the discussions and mental exercises you worked through two weeks prior. You may feel stopped in your tracks toward the end of the month, overwhelmed with frustration, or otherwise consumed by pressing issues that need your attention. Have faith that the issue will work itself out, and that you’ll be free to return to your preferred pursuits soon enough.

Capricorn Rising

This month begins with a sense that you’re returning from hiatus and pivoting forward. As your ruling planet, Saturn, stations direct on November 4th, many of your stalled ambitions spring to life again, or at least begin to move forward after four months of “wait and see.” What are the long-form writing projects you’ve undertaken, commitments you’ve offered to your local community, or efforts you’ve made to be a better (but better-boundaried) friend since this year began? You’ve had a little time to test the waters, and now you’ve got some direction. If you’re in your #shoplocal era, this could be a good time to put that ethos into practice and get to know your own city a little better.

This month also finds you potentially winning professional accolades, or at least enjoying the flattering spotlight for your work in the world (or perhaps some exciting news you’re ready to share publicly). Venus enters Libra, your 10th house of visibility, on the 8th. Admiration comes your way for the next four weeks, and potentially some killer new professional headshots.

However, the attention may come with strings attached. As Venus approaches a conjunction to the South Node on the 29th, you might need to sacrifice some of your likability in order to preserve your integrity, or take accountability for something in a public way. This is also coinciding pretty closely with a Mars square to Saturn on the 25th, which can present as an unforeseen crisis that needs to be managed. Trust your ability to handle it with grace, and to win people’s respect in the process.

Aquarius Rising

Last month’s eclipses may have updated your visa status, stamped (or denied) your passport, or even prompted a long-distance move. With some of the dust beginning to settle in November, you will soon get to enjoy a honeymoon period in your new location, or fall in love with the world anew through your travels.

To be clear, the rose-colored glasses drop into your travel purse on November 8th, when Venus enters Libra. For the next four weeks, you’ll enjoy lovelier-than-usual vibes on any explorations that take you far from home, and the potential for romance and friendship abroad is high. This will also be an especially good time for getting your fill of art and culture, touring pretty sites of worship, and enjoying music from other countries (and remember, these are things you can do from home if you’re not able to travel right now).

There is one caveat, though—Venus conjoins the South Node on the 29th. As you near the end of the month, you might have to sacrifice some degree of pleasure to keep the peace, or keep things fair. You might feel like your destination is overrated, or like something you’re experiencing doesn’t live up to the hype. It’s a temporary slump, and one that is mostly serving to remove your false assumptions so you can fall in love with the more authentic aspects of where you are.

This month also has lots of new beginnings brewing in your professional life. On the 18th, Mars conjoins the Sun in Scorpio. This is a powerful reset for your worldly ambitions, one that clarifies your goals and sets you well on your way to victory over the course of the next two years.

Pisces Rising

If 2023 has been lukewarm on the travel front so far, November might be when things start to turn around. This is largely a month of becoming more sure of what you want, and also honoring your own capacity for what you can realistically take on.

On the 4th, Saturn stations direct in Pisces, and this finds you moving forward with a renewed appreciation for your limits. You probably hit a wall you weren’t previously aware of in June, and spent the next four months trying to internalize this new knowledge of yourself. Now, you’re ready to get back into the game, but in a way that won’t max out your reserves.

Mid-November will also come with some twists and turns in your itinerary, but you might need to plan your upcoming travel in a way that leaves things open-ended—or at least flexible enough that you can respond to changing circumstances as they arise. The new moon in Scorpio on the 13th is an occasion to do just this, and to adapt your jet-setting intentions in light of recent plot twists.

This is all building up to the Mars cazimi on the 18th, a powerful reset for your status as a world citizen and an opportunity to become extra focused on your bucket list over the next two years, especially if travel has fallen by the wayside for you lately. Becoming extra clear in your vision will help you remain unshakable in your pursuit to see the world.
